Black President Season 2 Collection Page 9

“Unfortunately, I haven’t. But getting back to your messy marriage, it is my business. A man of your caliber should know better than to indulge in sexual escapades with a former stripper who use wealthy men to climb the ladder. You are president of the United States, and you need to stop acting like a male whore. This is getting out of hand!” She raised her voice and shook her head. “We already had one president running around bragging about grabbing women by their pussies, and now . . .”

I placed my finger over her lips. “Shhhh. There is no comparison, so do not insult me. I guess people are starting to run their mouths again, but you can’t believe everything you hear. My marriage looks good compared to many others who have occupied the Oval Office, so let it go and stop interfering. You’ve done enough of that already, and I assume, by now, you’ve already spoken to Michelle.”

Her brows shot up. “Michelle who?”

I stood and gave my mother a look like she should’ve known better. “Don’t you dare try to pretend that you don’t know who I’m talking about. I already know what you did, and yet again, you’re poking your nose where it doesn’t belong.”

I walked away from the desk and sat on the sofa. My mother followed and sat in a chair next to me. She continued with her lies.

“I don’t know who or what you’re talking about, so try again. What I do know about is Joshua. What are you going to do about him?”

“Nothing. Nothing at all. I guess I’ll hear from him if or whenever he calls.”

She rolled her eyes and crossed her legs. “That’s a shame. I can’t believe you’re not going to do anything about getting him to come back here. He needs you, Stephen. And if you think I’m going to have a life without seeing my grandson, you’re sadly mistaken.”

“I told you what I was going to do. Let me repeat it again. Nothing. If you want to see him, go find him in England, apologize to Ina and ask her to forgive you. I want no part of it, unless I hear from Joshua again.”

“You are so stubborn. I hate when you act this way. I love you, but there are times when I feel like Raynetta needs to leave you high and dry.”

“She’s already done that, and for the last time, Raynetta and I are none of your business.”

“As long as you are my child, you are my business. So get over it, dear child, and hurry and clean up your mess. I’m starting to approve of Raynetta. The two of us had some interesting conversations while you were away. She’s growing on me, and she’s not as bad as I thought she was.”

I got up to touch my mother’s forehead. “Are you feeling okay? You couldn’t be. And please, please tell me you haven’t started drinking again. Have you?”

She smacked my hand away from her forehead. “Don’t touch me. I don’t know where your hands have been. I can only imagine what you did while you were gone.”

I laughed and she stood to address me on a serious note. “Go ahead and get back to work,” she said. “I’m staying one more night at the White House, and then I’m going home. Think long and hard about how you and Raynetta plan to move forward. If you don’t love her anymore, Stephen, release her. There could be a chance that both of you deserve better. I don’t know, but I do know you better not ever leave here again without her.”

I kissed her cheek and held her hand as we walked to the door. “The only time I’m leaving is when I go on vacation again. Until then, I’m back and I’m about to show out for the American people. So sit back, watch and enjoy. You’re going to be real proud of me in the upcoming days and months. Even more proud to call me your son.”

She smiled and released my hand. “I’m always proud to call you my son, Mr. President. I can’t wait to hear more about your plans. Meanwhile, I have something instore for you too. It’s a surprise and I’m not ready to spill the beans just yet.”

I didn’t bother to elaborate because my mother was always up to something. She gave me a tight hug and told me she loved me before she left the Oval Office. I closed the door, and when Andrew returned with numerous executive orders for me to sign and reverse, I didn’t need an audience. The media wasn’t required, and this wasn’t about getting a photo op. An hour later I was almost done, until I was interrupted by a phone call that in no way surprised me.

“I made it happen,” he confirmed. “Now what, Mr. President?”

I didn’t respond. Just ended the call and reached out to Sam so he could set up a press conference for me later. I needed to address the American people and share some of my objectives going forward. Thirty minutes later, it was show time. I stood behind the podium in the Press Briefing Room and didn’t hold back on anything, starting with my marriage because people always wanted to know about that first for some reason.

“I can’t say where things stand with myself and the first lady, but be patient with me as I attempt to work through a very difficult time. We are going through some unfortunate things, but please respect our privacy. That’s all I ask, and I will not elaborate on much more. My priorities revolve around all of you. Whether you’re Caucasian, African American, Hispanic, whatever, I need you to join together and mobilize like you’ve never done before. I need to work with a new congress, and many of the long serving muthafuckas on Capitol Hill need to be voted out next year. You all know who those cowards are. They are the ones who refused to stand when Russia tampered with our democracy. They rallied behind another war that we didn’t need, and gave each and every one of you the massive bill. They minimized your healthcare, cut programs that were beneficial to you, told women what you should do with your bodies, and left our seniors fending for themselves. More children are living in poverty, the unemployment rate is on the rise again, not even a dog can survive on minimum wage, and when blacks are still being treated unfairly, they remained silent. The only ones satisfied right now are the wealthy. This isn’t what I had hoped for America, but it’s never too late to reverse the damage. Do your part, and I will continue to do mine. While many of our allies have turned their backs on the United States, I will find a way to make peace again. Along with our strong military, I will deal with our enemies one by one. But the truth is, we have major problems within this country. Problems that I can’t resolve alone. I need each and every one of you to stand with me, please. For the love of every man, woman and child in this country, stand with me and say goodbye to the hypocrites who no longer belong in Washington. Democrat or Republican, send me people I can work with, not racists idiots who will find my foot swallowed in their asses. As your president, I refuse to tolerate the ongoing disrespect, and if anyone expects me to be politically correct, after all I’ve been through, wait on it. It’s not going to happen. This is as presidential as it’s going to get, until I have a congress who can work with me, instead of against me.”

As the room fell silent, I continued to stress the need for action. I touched on some of the future plans I’d received from my cabinet members, and spoke about some of the new executive orders I’d signed. I wasn’t sure how energized the American people would feel after this, but from the smiles in the room, I got a sense that something big was about to happen. If anything, congress would be forced to get on board and ride this wave with me. I was well aware that real change took time. It took a certain kind of president to shake things up and make the impossible happen. It had been promised too many times before, but many hadn’t delivered. Even with all my flaws, maybe I would be able to.

“Unfortunately, I’m not going to take questions tonight. I’ll be back tomorrow to answer any questions that you have. Enjoy your evening and don’t get used to me being on good behavior.”

Many of the reporters laughed and fired off questions at me anyway. I couldn’t help it that my eyes shifted to Michelle, before I stepped away from the podium. Therefore, I wasn’t surprised when I was walking down the hallway and Sam rushed up to tell me Michelle wanted to speak to me. Like before, I went into a private meeting room where she stood nibbling at her nail. I closed the door behind me and stood with a stern expres
sion on my face.

“I guess you’re ready to come clean,” I said to her.

She dropped her arms by her side. “Come clean or whatever you want to call it, I do owe you an apology. I never should have accepted any money from your mother, and to be truthful, there really wasn’t a reason for me to do it. I make decent money as a reporter. But after my divorce, things got a little tight. I kept thinking about my kids, and when your mother approached me about doing what I could to dismantle your marriage, I wasn’t thinking clearly. It was never my intentions to go that far and I hope you know that. When I told you how I felt about you, I meant every word. I have fallen in love with you. This hurts so bad because I put myself in a situation that makes me look like a horrible woman. I’m not the kind of person you may think I am. You must know that, Stephen, please tell me you know I would never do anything to hurt you.”

“Well, lies do hurt, and accepting money from my mother is unacceptable. You have no idea how this makes me feel, and it would’ve been wise for you to simply tell her to go to hell when she approached you. At this point, it doesn’t matter. It’s not like I ever had any intentions of divorcing my wife so you and me could ride off into the sunset and go live happily ever after. That wasn’t going to happen, so now we can both just move on sooner than expected.”

Michelle stood and stared at me. She blinked several times to clear her watery eyes.

“So, I guess it’s over,” she said as her lips quivered.

I didn’t want to stand there and watch her fall apart, and even though I wanted to walk out on her, I couldn’t. All I could do was speak the truth. “Months ago, I told you I didn’t want to hurt you. I asked you not to get so attached to me. You knew I could never . . .”

“Yes, you said all of that, but you never stopped coming to see me. You made me feel like there was something there. Like you cared for me, just as much as I cared for you. Was it all fake, Stephen? Did you just use me? Is this thing with your mother an excuse for you to walk away from this? I need to know and you darn well better tell me the truth. Even if it hurts, just tell me!”

Her voice cracked as her tone went up several notches. I didn’t want to answer her questions, and I didn’t care if she would think I was a coward for not answering them. Instead, I made my way up to her and wrapped my arms around her. I tried to console her, but she pushed me away and demanded to know the truth.

“Answer me, Stephen. Was I just a piece of ass like your mother said? Did you really use me to help take away the pain you experienced due to your broken marriage? I’ve been through so much this year and you know exactly what I’m talking about. First my husband, and now you. I thought you really cared. But you didn’t, did you? You never cared and now you just want me to forget that this—”

She paused to wipe her tears. Not saying anything else, she darted toward the door to exit. I rushed toward the door too and grabbed her wrist. I swung her around to face me, finally spilling my guts to her.

“I did care, but maybe not as much as you may have needed me to. It was more than just sex for me, but this thing with my mother has left a horrible taste in my mouth. I feel like I can’t trust anyone. No one, Michelle, not even you. I’m sorry that it can go no further than this. I need to focus on what’s really important. Shit has gotten out of hand and the American people are counting on me to make some major changes in their lives. I can’t concentrate if I keep thinking about us. If I keep thinking about my marriage and how my personal life is so fucked up. So if you really love or care about me, I want you to walk away from this with an understanding of what my priorities must be. Are you willing to do that for me?”

She answered when she grabbed my face and hit me with a wet, juicy kiss that sent me staggering backward. I grabbed her waist and pulled her close to me. The taste of her tongue was so sweet, and it took everything that was in me not to spread her legs and indulge.

“Please,” I said, looking into her eyes. “Can you please do that for me and just . . . just walk away from this?”

She slowly nodded and backed away from me. As our eyes stayed connected, she opened the door and then walked out. I wiped down my face and shook my head. “Fuck,” I whispered. Now that I’d gotten some closure with that situation, I had to work on getting closure with another one.

  First Lady,

  Raynetta Jefferson

I was beat when I walked into the master bedroom around eleven o’clock that night. I’d missed dinner with Stephen, and I honestly didn’t expect to see him there. He was sitting in bed while reading a book. He removed his glasses away from his face and looked me up and down. My wrinkled clothes implied I had been about my business, and without a drop of makeup on, he knew what time it was. The direction of his eyes traveled with me as I made my way across the room.

“I didn’t know the duties of the first lady required you to be out this late at night,” he said in a calm tone. “Where have you been?”

I yawned as I removed my heels and tossed them in a corner. “I think you already know that I wasn’t representing as the first lady tonight. And please don’t pretend you don’t know where I was or who I was with.”

“I don’t know. If you care to share, I’m willing to listen.”

I stood at the edge of the bed, contracting my eyes as I looked in Stephen’s direction. “You haven’t perfected lying as good as I have, Stephen, so try again. But if you think you have that’s cool too. I’ll just update you on a few things, starting with the night you came into this room and looked at my cell phone. You knew I had spoken to Alex; therefore, it made no sense for you to inquire. You’re always trying to catch me in a lie, just so you can have a reason to run off and do what you do best. I know that you contacted Alex while you were away, and even though he told you he and I spent no time together at the hotel, you threatened him and dared him to keep pursuing me. You knew he would come after me, because that’s the kind of man Alex is. Your threats energize him, and you were hoping that we hooked up so you could do your dirt while you were away and have something to throw in my face. More so, something to justify your actions.” Having his full attention, I started to unbutton my ripped blouse. “But you know what, Stephen? It would take me a looooong time to get even with you. I would have to really put myself out there, so don’t act surprised when you happen to see a new me. My actions won’t be for revenge or anything like that, but maybe because your behavior proved to me that you have no problem with another man screwing your wife. It doesn’t bother you if he made me come three times within an hour, compared to your one lousy time that proves I’m not excited about you anymore. I thoroughly enjoyed myself tonight, and whenever I feel as if we’re equals, I’ll give you a call and tell you all about it. On another note, if I find out you had anything, whatsoever, to do with that explosion at the hotel, I’m going to participate in your downfall. I don’t trust you anymore, and I never thought the day would come when you willingly handed me over to another man on a silver platter.”

Stephen didn’t say one word. Just stared at me as I went into the bathroom to take a hot shower and wash Alex’s scent off me. My shower lasted for thirty long minutes, and after I was done I changed clothes and slipped into a new pair of heels. I brushed my hair into a ponytail, refreshed my makeup, and then returned to the bedroom. Stephon was now sitting up with his hands behind his head. He looked straight ahead without shifting his eyes in my direction.

“I’ll see you tomorrow,” I said. “Sleep well, if you can.”

He finally looked at me. “For the record, I’ve made you have more than three orgasms within an hour. Sometimes more than that, so get your facts together.”

I clapped my hands and smiled at him. “I figured you would comment on that and nothing else. Interesting, Stephen, very interesting to say the least.”

I rolled my eyes and left the room. With a Secret Service agent in tow, he drove me to a nearby hotel where I spent the night. I had no intentions of staying there for more than on
e day; tonight I just needed some space. I rested well that night, and getting back to my business as the first lady, my schedule for the following days thereafter went something like this:

Day 1: Spoke at a women’s conference in Washington, and then I helped several families of soldiers put together care packages to send overseas. At the end of the day, I met Alex for drinks and we went back to his apartment to have sex.

“I was afraid that you wouldn’t be back,” he whispered in my ear while tampering with my hotspot. “I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of you.”

“I wouldn’t be so sure about that, but we’ll see.”

I rolled on top and gave Alex the ride of his life.

Day 2: I left the White House early with Stephen so we could attend a senator’s funeral. It lasted for about an hour, and afterward I attended a picnic with several kids at two elementary schools in Washington. At the end of the day, I met Alex in a park. He gave me some additional information about Mr. McNeil, and it wasn’t long before we started having sex on a bench. I straddled his lap and held his head as he dropped it back and moaned.

“Why are you doing this to me?” He gripped my hips that moved at a tranquilizing pace. “You’re going to have me hooked, Raynetta. I’m going to be sooooo disappointed when you go back to the president.”

“I never left the president, but there’s no need for you to worry about him. Just focus on us and all that we’re doing right now. Doesn’t it feel good?”

He nodded, and after two orgasms, I was the one who couldn’t get enough.

Day 3: Emme and I didn’t leave the White House until noon. I attended a baseball game and threw out the first pitch. Had a blast that day, but wound up with a sore ankle when I left the ballpark and tripped in my heels. I was seen by a doctor at the White House, but at the end of the day, Alex took good care of me. He massaged my ankle while we were in the shower, and shortly thereafter we had sex. As he stood behind me, massaging my breasts and biting my neck, I sucked in a deep breath and closed my eyes.
